Edward was born in the former Soviet Union on March 14, 1953. He immigrated to the U.S. with his family in December 1989 in pursuit of the American Dream. Edward and his family arrived in New York on March 23, 1990. Edward refused to live on public assistance and took any job that came his way. He was a bus boy and a car service driver. He also cleaned asbestos because it paid well. No job was too hard and he was never afraid to get his hands dirty.
In 1993, Edward became an agent for John Hancock and began selling life insurance. This job became his career and where he found his passion and himself. He dreamed of opening his own business. In 1994, his dream came true and he saved enough money to open Friends Insurance Brokerage.
His American Dream became a reality. He enjoyed being his own boss and working with people of different cultures and backgrounds. Over the course of 20 years, Edward worked very hard to cultivate his relationships with insurance companies as well as clients. He built a successful, profitable business and in a short period of time, achieved more than many people in their lifetime.
